About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our People & Culture team on an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth to Roy Hill Mine. This is a true generalist role supporting our operations across both the Processing and Mining teams.

Reporting to the Superintendent HR, you will partner with leaders and operational teams to deliver practical people solutions across the employee lifecycle. You will provide HR advice, manage employee relations matters, support legislative compliance, and contribute to the delivery of business and workforce strategies.

Duties

• Provide HR advice and coaching to leaders across employee relations, workforce initiatives and people processes, balancing employee needs, compliance and operational priorities.
• Build leadership capability through practical guidance on HR systems, policies and best practice, enabling leaders to effectively manage their teams.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture through strong stakeholder partnerships, practical problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Support leaders and employees across key stages of the employee lifecycle, including performance, development and employee relations.

You are an experienced HR professional with a strong generalist background and the ability to influence, coach and support leaders in a fast-paced operational environment. You bring a practical, solutions-focused approach, strong relationship-building skills, and a passion for creating positive employee experiences and business outcomes.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in mining, engineering, construction, or a similar heavy industry environment, ideally within a FIFO operation.
• Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and provide practical HR advice to leaders and employees.
• Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• Confidence and resilience, with the adaptability to operate effectively in a changing and fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement and team success.
• Experience with SuccessFactors is highly desirable.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Commerce, or a related discipline are highly desirable.
